Good chance for gold in Tree felling.

Jan Roest, the Netherlands – a gold medallist?

Husqvarna got a great start in the discipline Tree felling after the first day of competition. And a newcomer will probably take gold!

The Russian team got a very good result. Alexander Surovtsev and Vladimir Dashugin both achieved impressively high 656 points. Surprisingly, Ilya Shvetsov, gold medallist at WLC in Turin 2004, did’nt take more than 615 points.

The Russian team in action.

Arian Essenstam and Jan Roest from the Netherlands, both competing with a Husqvarna 576 XP, got superb results. Essenstam got 626 points. Roest 659 took 659 points. Only one centimetre from the highest possible score in the discipline – in his first WLC.
“I’m very happy. Now I can stop doing this… no, I’m just kidding”, Jan Roest said after his outstanding performance.

The question is now: Will someone be able to beat him during the following two days when Tree felling will be completed?
